The Philippine Consulate General in Agana (PCG-Agana) and Philippine Overseas Labor Office in Los Angeles (POLO-LA) conducted a face-to-face Post Arrival Orientation Seminar (PAOS) for all overseas Filipino workers in Guam on 17 July 2022.

There were twenty-eight (28) overseas Filipino workers and representatives of different companies in Guam. The orientation covers the insights of the new Department of Migrant Workers (DMW), POLO LA Programs and Services, OWWA memberships and benefits, POEA Rules and Regulations 2016 Rule V. Disciplinary Action Against Overseas Filipino Workers; Section 45 on Grounds of Disciplinary Action and their Penalties, Reintegration Preparedness Program, U.S. Department of Labor Program on Filing Labor Complaints, POPS-BAM, etc.

Another PAOS was conducted for three hundred eight (308) Filipino workers of Black Construction Corporation. The orientation covers the insights of the new Department of the new Department of Migrant Workers (DMW), POLO LA Programs and Services, OWWA memberships and benefits, POEA Rules and Regulations 2016 Rule V. Disciplinary Action Against Overseas Filipino Workers; Section 45 on Grounds of Disciplinary Action and their Penalties, Reintegration Preparedness Program, U.S. Department of Labor Program on Filing Labor Complaints, POPS-BAM, etc.

The participants were engaged during the open forum and particularly asked how to avail of OWWA scholarship for their children, and other assistance from the government regarding sick family members who are in the Philippines, and financial assistance.

During both PAOS, POLO-LA also conducted a needs assessment to get topics for training that the workers need to be included in the Reintegration Preparedness Program for 2023.
