The Philippine Consulate General in Agana (PCG-Agana) and Philippine Overseas Labor Office in Los Angeles (POLO-LA) met with officials of the Guam Department of Labor in Hagatna, Guam on 18 July 2022 for the establishment of a more engaged partnership between with the offices for the protection of the rights and promotion of the welfare and interests of Filipino workers in Guam.

The Guam Department of Labor’s mission is to foster, promote, and develop the welfare of the wage earners of Guam, to improve their working and living conditions, and to advance their opportunities for occupational training and profitable employment.

Representing the Philippine Consulate and POLO-LA were Consul General Patrick John U. Hilado, Vice Consul Shiela Mae A. Briones, Labor Attaché Marie Rose C. Escalada, and Processing Officer Hamdan B. Sayedy. Guam Department of Labor was represented by Deputy Director Gerard Toves, Administrator Greg S. Massey, and Section Head-Case Management Dorinda R. Meno, both from Alien Labor Processing and Certification Division of the said Department.
